Frequently asked questions.

How do I order a cake?

Click the Classic Cakes or Custom Creations tabs to see our menu and find an order request form.

How much notice do you need? When is it “too late” to order?

We can book 2 weeks to 3 months into the future.

A week is the shortest possible turnaround we could accommodate, and not guaranteed. But always worth an ask!

If you have a LARGE order that is more than 3 months away (for example, a tiered wedding cake) we may be able to lock that down.

Are your cakes vegan? What about gluten-free?

Currently, the answer to both is no. While I am experimenting with vegan recipes I can not yet guarantee the decorating results. It is something I would like to move toward in the future.

If you need a cute, delicious, vegan and/or gluten-free cake, I highly recommend Two Birds Baking based in Huntington Beach, CA.

Do you Ship?

I do not.

Do you deliver?

Normally, I do not. Sending a Lyft or Uber is a great way to get your cake delivered to your door. Large tiered cakes may require delivery and set up which would be factored into the price of the order.

Do you make wedding cakes?

I do!

Do you offer cake tastings?

Unfortunately, because all cakes are baked to order, there is no extra fresh cake to sample. If you are interested in trying our cake, you may consider visiting a pop-up event. For less-common flavors, ordering a 6” cake is an option too!

What do these cakes cost?

Custom cakes designed to your specs and desires, start at $150. Classic cakes, holiday pre-orders, and pop-up menu cakes cost less.

Why do these cakes cost more than the one I saw at _____?

These cakes are baked fresh and decorated, to order, by me. They are also often designed individually. I stand by my work and years of experience and believe the pricing fairly reflects my time as well as the cost of supplies, ingredients, and packaging.

Well dang, that’s more than I wanted to spend….

A celebration worthy of cake usually involves FRIENDS! Consider asking your guests to contribute $10-$15 toward your dream cake. They might be happy to get in on the surprise and make it easier on your wallet.

Can I get a cheaper cake?

Sometimes! I try to run pre-orders for cake-centric holidays which allows me to share the overhead of design and ingredients between many customers. I am interested in doing more pop-up events that feature a grab-and-go menu.
